No. Guests scan the QR code on the TV (or a printed sign) with their phone camera, and the voting page opens in their browser. No account, no download.
Open the TV link from your host screen in any browser that shows on the TV: a smart TV's browser, a laptop plugged in with HDMI, or a laptop or phone cast to a Chromecast, Apple TV or Fire TV. Then tap Full screen and sound so the reveal can play its drumroll.
Yes, with Party Pass or Big Event, when "Guests can add photos" is on. Their photos wait for you to approve them, unless you turn on "Approve automatically" and keep your host screen open. Use "Photos per guest" to set how many each phone can send (5 by default).
Free events get 30 photos and 1 category. Party Pass ($9.99) raises that to 200 photos and 5 categories, and Big Event ($29) to 500 photos. Upgrade any time from your host screen; you pay once per event. Each phone gets one vote per category and can change it until you close voting.
Tap Reveal winners on your host screen. Voting closes and the TV plays a countdown and a full-screen winner for each category. Guests' phones show the winners right after the TV does, so nobody spoils it.
Each phone browser counts once per category. Someone determined could vote again from a private browser window, so it's built for party fun, not prize money.
Tap Hide on your host screen to pull it off the TV instantly, or Delete to remove it for good. Guests can tap Report a photo, and reports show up next to the photo on your host screen.
Yes. Open it from Your events, tap Reset all votes, and delete or keep photos as you like. Or create a fresh event. Paid plans belong to the event they were bought for.
Yes. On your host screen, tap Download all photos to get every photo in one zip file. Guests can tap any photo on their voting page after voting closes to save it, or save them all, unless you turn off "Guests can save photos."
Their voting link keeps working. When they open it after the reveal, their phone plays its own reveal, one category at a time. After the reveal, tap Share results on your host screen to send the link to your group chat.

Photos, captions and vote counts in an event can be seen by anyone who has that event's code or link. Photos waiting for approval are visible only to the guest who sent them and the event's host. If the host allows it, guests can save the event's photos to their phones after voting closes, and the host can download all of them. Don't add photos you wouldn't want shown at the party.
Hosts can delete any photo or a whole event at any time, which removes its photos and votes. Event data is deleted automatically 7 days after a free event is created, 30 days for Party Pass and one year for Big Event.
We don't sell your data, show ads, or use your photos to train AI. We don't use photos for anything other than running the event they were added to.
Snap Vote runs on Google Firebase (sign-in, database and photo storage) and Netlify (website hosting), which process data on our behalf. Payments for paid plans are handled by Stripe, which receives the buyer's email and card details; we never see card numbers.
Snap Vote is for hosts 18 and older and isn't directed at children. Hosts are responsible for having permission before photographing anyone, including getting a parent's OK for anyone under 18.
Ask the event's host, use "Report a photo" on the voting page, or email with the event code and we'll remove it.

Snap Vote lets hosts run photo contests at their events. Hosts must be 18 or older. Guests can vote and, when the host allows it, send photos for the host to approve.
You keep ownership of photos you add. You give Snap Vote permission to store and display them to people with the event's code, and to let them save copies when the host allows it, only to run that event. Only add photos you have the right to share, of people who are OK being shown.
Hosts are responsible for moderating their events. We may remove content or events that break these rules.
Party Pass and Big Event are one-time payments for a single event, processed by Stripe. We never see or store card numbers. If something goes wrong with your event, email us within 14 days for a refund.
Snap Vote is provided as is. We work to keep it running, but can't promise it will always be available or error free, and we aren't liable for lost photos or the outcome of any contest.
We may update these terms. If we make a big change, we'll note it here with a new date.
